  • A 10-year major structural warranty is administered by Maverick. It covers defects in key load-bearing components such as foundations, walls, beams, girders, and roof framing if they cause the home to become unsafe, unsanitary, or unlivable.
  • Coverage is activated only when structural damage meets strict criteria: visible physical damage to designated load-bearing elements that leads to failure in their load-bearing function, rendering the home uninhabitable.
  • The first year covers defects in workmanship and materials such as drywall, trim, and cabinetry. The first two years provide protection for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, limited to components like ductwork, wiring, and piping.
  • For homes in Texas, Maverick applies performance standards based on ASCE guidelines. These include tilt/deflection limits and requirements for observable damage before foundation repairs are mandated, offering clarity and protection in expansive soil areas.
  • Emergency conditions—defined as urgent defects that significantly affect livability or risk further damage—must be promptly reported. Homeowners are expected to mitigate damage but must not make unauthorized repairs beyond temporary containment.
