- Third-Party Structural Coverage: NewPad Building Co. partners with Maverick, a third-party administrator, to provide 10-year coverage against major structural defects. This includes failures in foundational and framing elements that make the home unsafe, unsanitary, or unlivable.
- Defined Texas Foundation Standards: For homes built in Texas, Maverick enforces foundation performance expectations aligned with ASCE standards. These cover slab movement limits and tilt thresholds, providing an objective baseline for structural evaluation.
- Workmanship and Systems Protection: One-year coverage applies to workmanship and materials (e.g., paint, drywall, trim), while two-year coverage applies to systems like plumbing distribution, electrical wiring, and HVAC ductwork.
- Emergency Service Standards: Emergencies—such as loss of heat in freezing weather, active roof leaks, or gas leaks—must be reported immediately to the builder. Only temporary repairs to prevent further damage are permitted prior to formal review.
