- Builder-Managed Structural Protection: KB Home offers a 10-year limited structural warranty directly, without third-party administration. This coverage applies to major structural defects in load-bearing components such as foundations, load-bearing walls, beams, and roof framing.
- Workmanship and Systems Protection: The first year includes workmanship coverage for finishes like drywall, paint, trim, cabinetry, and flooring. The first two years also cover defects in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing distribution systems, including wiring, piping, and ductwork.
- Follow-Up Visits and Maintenance Support: KB Home's customer service team conducts follow-up visits at 10 days, 30 days, 6 months, 10 months, and 18 months after move-in to review the maintenance of household systems and features, ensuring they are working properly.
