Herring Homes offers warranty protection through Quality Builders Warranty Corporation (QBW), supported by Liberty Mutual Insurance, delivering clear, phased coverage with defined standards and structural safeguards.
- Third-Party Structural Protection: The 10-year structural warranty is administered by QBW and backed by Liberty Mutual Insurance, offering independent assurance that major structural defects are covered even if the builder is unavailable.
- Strict Structural Defect Requirements: Coverage applies only to eight designated load-bearing components—such as foundation systems, columns, girders, roof and floor framing—when failure causes actual physical damage and compromises the home’s safety or livability.
- Builder Responsibility for Early Coverage: During the first year, Herring Homes is responsible for materials and workmanship defects, including roofing, siding, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, windows, doors, and interior finishes. The builder also covers plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems during the first two years.
- Warranty Transferability: The warranty is transferable to future homeowners within the 10-year term, allowing protection to remain in effect after resale without added cost.
