- Defined Structural Defect Standards: The structural warranty applies to major load-bearing components such as foundation systems, beams, framing, and roof structure. Only failures that affect the safety, sanitation, or habitability of the home are covered.
- Builder-Handled Initial Year Coverage: During the first year, EMC manages issues related to materials, finishes, and general workmanship. Two scheduled appointments—at 45 days and 11 months—are used to address minor cosmetic adjustments such as nail pops or trim separation.
- Manufacturer Warranty Delegation: Appliances and other specific products are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties.
