  • Third-Party Structural Coverage: The 10-year structural warranty is administered by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, providing independent protection for major structural defects in load-bearing elements such as foundations, beams, columns, roof and floor framing systems.
  • Workmanship and Systems Protection: The first year covers workmanship and material defects in visible finishes such as drywall, cabinetry, flooring, and interior trim. The second year includes coverage for mechanical distribution systems like electrical wiring, HVAC ductwork, and plumbing lines.
  • Clear Structural Defect Requirements: Structural coverage applies only when a designated load-bearing element fails and causes physical damage that renders the home unsafe, unsanitary, or unlivable. Covered components include key framing and foundation elements.
  • Defined Reporting Deadlines: Workmanship and systems defects must be reported no later than 15 days after their respective coverage period ends. Structural defects must be reported within the 10-year term to qualify for repair.
  • Emergency Service Protocol: For urgent situations—such as total HVAC failure, electrical hazards, or major plumbing leaks—homeowners must act promptly to prevent further damage, while ensuring repairs are authorized by the warranty provider.
