  • Third-Party Structural Coverage: Cothran Homes partners with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty to administer the 10-year structural warranty. This covers major load-bearing components such as foundations, beams, roof framing, and walls, when defects make the home unsafe, unsanitary, or unlivable.
  • Workmanship and Systems Protection: Coverage includes 1 year for workmanship and materials (e.g., flooring, drywall, cabinetry) and 2 years for distribution systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC ductwork.
  • Emergency Response Guidelines: Homeowners are instructed to report emergencies like plumbing failure or HVAC loss immediately. Temporary repairs may be made to prevent damage, but permanent work must be approved to maintain warranty coverage.
  • Structured Reporting Timeframes: All claims must be filed in writing within the applicable warranty term. Workmanship and systems defects must be reported no later than 15 days after their respective term expires.
